This event is open to everyone to join us for the whole walk, part of the walk, or come at the beginning or end to show support! Walk for as long as you can. Vehicles will be available to bring people to the endpoint for the closing circles and then back to parking.
Route and Schedule:
5:30 pm Walk from United Churches of Langley in Fort Langley (9025 Glover Road) to Kwantlen First Nation
6:00 pm Meal and Cultural Presentation at the Longhouse
9:00 am Walk from Marina Park, Fort Langley to Mt.Lehman United Church
12:00 pm Walk from the north side of the Mission Bridge to Pekw'xe:Yles (site of St.Mary's Residential School)
1:30 pm Tour and Stories at St.Mary's School
2:30 pm Kairos Blanket Exercise
6:00 pm Dinner together

We hope you will join for any/all of the days as we walk in lament and solidarity with our First Nations brothers and sisters whose families have been affected by the residential schools for many generations. As anyone of our human family has been affected, we are all affected.
This walk is organised by Mennonite Central Committee BC, Mennonite Church Canada, Diocese of New Westminster, United Churches of Langley, Christian Reformed Church and Willoughby Christian Reformed Church.
