Today is part of the Thanksgiving weekend, a time for many of us to gather with family or friends, to eat traditional foods, to offer thanks to God for the many blessings in our life.  We do this every year, and every year, by the next week, we are back to normal; to ordinary concerns, to complaints, to dealing with economic uncertainty,  Our readings remind us that giving thanks could be part of the daily routine, that attention to our blessings can balance out our concerns, bring us the richness of life, rather than the scarcity.  As we gather, we offer praise, and our hearts are lifted up to the promises of God once again.  Come, and enjoy the blessings set before you, and grow in faith and grace.
