Holy Week Wonderings...

As we journey to Jerusalem, and through the activities of 2000+ years ago, we are invited to wonder again. Carl Jung would ask us each to contemplate –

“where do you see yourself in the story?”

Are you part of the party that celebrates Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem,
Or do you stand and heckle and ask all the people (and the stones!)
to quiet down about this supposed King?

Would you reject Jesus’ desire to serve you by washing your feet?
Or offer up your feet and hands and whole body to be cleansed
by the Servant-Master?

Will you deny your association with Jesus,
Or walk him to the Cross, and offer up your life for Love?

And will you go to the empty tomb, and celebrate, remembering the Promise.
The Promise of Life. The Promise of Love.
