On Tuesday, November 25, at 11:30 am, our Murrayville location will be the venue for a new Langley Meals on Wheels (LMOW) program, Nourish Together, Learn Together. This new offering provides an opportunity for seniors to connect in a welcoming environment, enjoy a delicious lunch, and hear a speaker present on a topic of interest to them. Programs like this strive to reduce isolation, build community, and ensure seniors have access to helpful information and supports.
Guest speakers, Taran Kingsbury, Community Centre Supervisor for Recreation Programs and Services with the Township of Langley, and Van Trieu, Community Librarian with Fraser Valley Regional Library in Murrayville, will share information about the senior-focused programming offered by their respective organizations.
If you would like to come, please register at 604-533-1679 or foodandfriends@lmow.ca.
The cost for lunch is $8, which can be paid by cash when you arrive at the luncheon.
