This Lent Season, we will be exploring The Lord’s Prayer, the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples when they asked him how they should pray. The text is found in two slightly different versions in the New Testament. Most Christians know the prayer by heart in their own language, and it is used today by every Christian tradition. Many consider it to be a summary of the Gospels and the Christian faith.
We will be looking at The Lord’s Prayer as a tool for reflection, study and meditation, examining a variety of translations and adaptations of the prayer itself.
Lenten Study will be taking place at our Murrayville location on Sundays after church during Lent. It is starting on March 10. Bring a bag lunch and join with others from noon until 1:30 pm.
Please sign up through the office. Childcare will be available—let us know when you register if you need it. There will be handouts at the first gathering for daily reflections throughout Lent.
Everyone is welcome.
