Our LENTEN BIBLE STUDY will begin on Wednesday, March 12, at 10:30 am.
We will look at some of the issues brought out in Luke 6:27-38. These will be the focus for the weeks of Lent, including: judging others, debtors, loving your enemies, worry and anxiety, loving your neighbours, and grace and mercy. Each week will focus on one of the issues, using one or more passages from Scripture. What does the passage say? How do we use this in our present world? How can we turn from hard questions and easy answers, to contribute to the healing of the world? How can we celebrate a holy Lent with joy in the midst of confusion and uncertainty?
March 26th: This week we will be tackling the subject "Loving Your Enemies"! This should lead to a lively discussion. If you are able, please read either Matthew 5:43-48 or Luke 6:27-36.
April 2nd: The focus will be on the theme "Love your neighbour". If you are able, please read Luke 10:25-37 and/or Mark 12:28-34.
April 9th: This wll be the last meeting on the Lenten journey, and we will be thinking about grace, and what that means to us.
We have a wonderful group of people who support one another in our search for love and faith. All are welcome on Wednesday at 10:30 am in the sanctuary.
